Powerhouse Cast, Director named for The Enchanted Cottage at the NAMTMany are Broadway VeteransSeptember 8, 2002 -- The director and cast for The Enchanted Cottage at the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's Festival of New Musicals were announced today in New York. Joining the presentation as director is Will Pomerantz. The Musical Director for the September 23 presentation is Mark Goodman, who served as Musical Director for all of the demo recordings of the score as well as the first public reading in the Ground Floor Series, presented by Fat Chance Productions. A dynamic company will perform the 45-minute staged reading. Many of the actors participating in the presentation of The Enchanted Cottage at the National Alliance for Musical Theatre are Broadway veterans, including Tony Award® nominees Emily Skinner (Side Show, James Joyce's The Dead, The Full Monty) as Laura and Michael Hayden (Carousel, Judgment at Nuremberg, Merrily We Roll Along at the Kennedy Center) as Oliver. Three members of the cast are no strangers to "The Cottage". Among those who performed on the demo recordings of the score are Ms. Skinner, Steve Routman as Rev. Corsellis and Joseph Kolinski (The Prince and The Pauper, Titanic) as Major Hillgrove. Cast members new to the production are Maureen Silliman (Sheandoah, I Remember Mama) as Mrs. Minnett, Annie Golden (The Full Monty, On The Town) as Mrs. Corsellis, John Jellison (Oklahoma, Putting It Together) as Rupert Smallwood, Jo Ann Cunningham (Anna Karenina, The King and I) as Violet Smallwood, and Jeff Blumenkrantz (How To Succeed..., Damn Yankees, Into The Woods) as Rigg.
